Product News: 689nm Discrete Mode Laser Diode

2023-12-04

TO39.jpg The 689nm discrete mode laser diode from the FEBP series is a cost effective, highly coherent laser source with a typical linewidth of 4MHz. A strained multi-quantum well discrete mode (DM) laser diode chip is packaged in an industry standard hermetically sealed TO39 can with integrated thermo-electric cooler (TEC) and thermistor. The typical output power is 2.5mW. A butterfly version with about 1.5mW out of an SM or PM fiber is in development and will be available soon.

This laser diode is excellently suited for high performance gas sensing and the use in Sr-based atomic clocks.
